KUSASA

Kusasa is an international documentary co-production with Tencent Pictures and Chuan Films. The film follows a youth football team from Cape Town, South Africa, as they travel from township streets to Sweden’s prestigious Gothia Cup. Capturing the resilience, dreams and challenges of young athletes and their larger-than-life coaches, this inspiring sports documentary reveals the transformative power of football.

Beyond the pitch, Kusasa also sparked social impact during the COVID-19 pandemic. The project launched a major public health campaign, distributing thousands of masks and sanitiser to underserved South African communities.
